![]() ![]() Sets should shift to focusing on the comic portrayals of the characters to avoid the reliance on screen-accuracy when making a set for a new film or show - along with also preventing delays. ![]() That film was going to open with her decapitating Mordo and holding his head up to the camera at one stage and that would have been under the PG-13 rating.ĬMF series should focus on high quality legacy characters. Wanda's murder/torture spree definitely comparable. I'm aiming to complete it before 2024 but naturally things do get delayed from time to time. It's been a long process but it's about a third complete :3 Still working on attempting to modify the Hulkbuster. The 2014 Cyclops and Storm are accurate to the Giant Size X-Men so my hope is when they finish the 97 wave they eventually get around to producing 70's X-Men designs. I'd actually love to get Banshee and Sunfire as well to add to that team. I'd enjoy Nightcrawler as an addition to the Giant Size X Men. I just don't envision him as a core member of the 97 team, even if he is going to be on. If we do happen to get more sets I hope we see Jubilee, Jean Grey, Gambit, and Colossus or Bishop before Nightcrawler but I love Nightcrawler so much that I wouldn't be too mad. Hopefully new short white hair pieces appear in other themes or PAB/BAM this upcoming year. A darker color scheme would be fine but if they kept this light purple and gave him a shorter cut I'd be fine. Both Han Solos hair (26139) and Episode 8 Luke's hair (35494) would work well for Magneto and neither have been produced in white before! The combination of the bright purple with the long hair makes this Magneto feel childish and not as intimidating. I do wish we had better hair options for Magneto. I honestly love the X Men this is a dream come true that we're even getting new content. At the moment we only have the X Mansion to anticipate but hopefully we do get other sets. ![]() I wish I could be this confident in Jean being produced. Not only does Lego love mechs but they also seem to love repeating content. These points notwithstanding, I'm very interested to understand what true Space fans think of this series, and what it might mean for LEGO regularly producing more non-IP themed CMF series in the near future.įeels like the most obvious choice is a Sentinel. The range of accessories underwhelm in both novelty and quantity (remember that totally overpowered Space Policy Guy from Series 21?). The apparent lack of visored helms for any of the classic figs is regrettable. While most of the figures do seem to have new/unique torso and leg printing, the designs appear a little minimalist? Maybe that's just the low res image. On execution however, the collection feels a little flat and lacks 'wow' factor. Overall, I'd give the series high points on creativity. A nice mix of callbacks to classic LEGO themes coupled with a sprinkling of recognisable space tropes. I'm not a LEGO Space fan per-se (history themes are more my jam), so I'm finding this series difficult to assess.Ĭonceptually, I think the series boasts a good range of characters, calculated to appeal to as broad a market as possible. Not a lot of my first picks, especially with two frozen duplicates, but still an idea. It would be interesting if, come September, those 20 were used as a minifig series. Notably, that's exactly 20 Fortnite-original minifigs at launch. I also imagine that more will be added with future updates from Star Wars, Marvel, and hopefully DC and other licenses as well.įor those curious, I went through the Wiki and found where each of the Lego villagers originate:Īnd the list of Fortnite-original villagers are: Unless if you are talking about villager characters, though, in which case you are correct.
